Hi mama.
Get ready to feel BEAUTIFUL!
As your maternity session nears, I’d like to give you a few pointers for your session so we can make sure it’s everything you dreamed of!
WHAT TO BRING:
Undergarments: Nude undergarments & nipple covers (new) can be provided, please request in advance for size information. You are welcome to bring a nude, strapless bra from home and nude underwear.
Pretty hands & feet: Natural color polish is preferred as the center point of your session will be your bump and your hands will be photographed at close range. The session will be barefoot, so pretty toes are encouraged. Pamper yourself and get a Mani & Pedi!
Hair & Makeup: Complimentary with your session, we will provide hair and makeup in studio. Otherwise, we provide hair tools to do quick touch ups if needed and you are encouraged to bring your makeup bag. Hairstyle: Soft curls or waves are encouraged!
Any sentiment items: Wedding rings, sonogram photos, baby’s coming home outfit, first pair of shoes, etc. If parents are in the military or in public service: jackets, hats, dog tags, boots, etc. (let me know in advance if any items will be brought in)
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Your session time has a run time of 60-90 minutes. You will be able to use as many outfits as you’d like, as long as it’s done within that time frame. Typically, 2-3 outfits changes are what the time allows for.
Upon arrival, we will go over your set & gown choices to make sure it fits your vision and style.
If any family is accompanying you, we only request that littles under 10yrs are supervised at all times to avoid any incidents. Guests will be able to wait in our sitting area. (Client is liable for any damages to equipment on set due to unsupervised guests)
If you have any specific requests, it is imperative that you bring this up to me as soon as possible, before the day of your session. This goes for outfits and/or poses. While some poses may look “easy” to recreate, I may need additional equipment for them. Don’t hesitate to ask!
SAFETY:
Your safety is priority at all times. No posing will be done that will put you at risk at any moment. Keep in mind as an expert in photography, I also work with composite images. This meaning, any photos you may have seen from other photographers are most likely a composite image, edited of various images.
In the same thought, it’s important to take breaks when needed throughout the session. I will have seating available for you as well as beverages to keep you hydrated. It’s very important that you let me know if a break is needed.
This is the time to showcase you and your beauty in all its light. I want to make sure you are comfortable at all times. If any of the gowns are giving you any discomfort, let me know so we can fix it. That also goes for anyone attending your session with you. It’s preferred that only adults come with you, unless a session with family is scheduled. In which case, little ones will be photographed first so they don’t have to stay the entire time.

If you chose to add on our makeup artist services, please come prepared with a clean face + moisturizer. No other makeup, corrector, mascara is needed. If you are also wanting your hair done, please make sure it’s clean and no products have been added. Be prepared for your makeup session to be an hour in length, prior to your photoshoot.
