I’m so excited to share some wonderful news with you — I was recently featured in Voyage Dallas Magazine, where I had the opportunity to tell my journey as a local Arlington entrepreneur and photographer. How It All Started
In the interview, I talked about how my photography journey began back in August 2020 — shortly after my second child was born. What started as a way to capture family memories during a time of uncertainty quickly grew into a real business. My husband gifted me a camera, and with no formal experience, I dove headfirst into studying lighting, posing, and technique.
I spent countless nights watching tutorials, reading articles, and soaking up every piece of knowledge I could find — all with the hope of creating beautiful, meaningful images for families like mine.
Growing From Home Studio to Commercial Space
In the interview, I reflect on the humble beginnings of working out of my living room to now having a fully equipped studio in the heart of the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with hundreds of families, welcoming newborns, documenting milestones, and watching clients return year after year.
What makes this journey especially meaningful isn’t just the images — it’s the trust families place in me to capture moments they’ll cherish forever.
What Sets My Studio Apart
One of the things I shared in the feature is what truly differentiates my studio experience:
Curated in-studio wardrobe and gowns for maternity and family sessions
Professional hair and makeup options to help you feel confident in front of the camera
Prints, wall art, and heirlooms that bring your favorite images off the screen and into your home
A fully guided, intentional session where you never feel lost or awkward in front of the lens
This isn’t just a photoshoot — it’s a bespoke experience centered on you.
The Entrepreneurial Journey Isn’t Easy — But It’s Worth It
In the conversation with Voyage Dallas, I was candid about the ups and downs of running a one-person business. From juggling bookings and marketing to managing every behind-the-scenes detail, building something meaningful required resilience, late nights, and a whole lot of support from loved ones.
But every challenge — and every family I’ve had the honor to photograph — has been part of the reason I love what I do.
Why This Feature Matters
Being featured in Voyage Dallas isn’t just a personal milestone — it’s a reflection of years of dedication, growth, and connection with the community. It’s also a reminder that every business starts with a story worth telling.
